On Friday 2nd July 2021, the Department for Education released non-statutory guidance around teaching a broad and balanced curriculum for education recovery.
In summary, schools are advised to continue with this approach, including planning for educational visits and visitors to school. Taking a planned, sequenced curriculum as a starting point, schools should identify gaps in knowledge, skills, understanding and concepts and take steps to modify their curriculum appropriately.
